Resin is a viscous, thermoplastic substance that can be natural or synthetic, used for various purposes such as coating, casting or crafting. It comes in two liquid components that bond and solidify when properly mixed together (anywhere between 36 to 72hours, depending on the brand and the amount used). Once fully cured, the end product has an extremely hard consistency and a glossy finish resistant to chemicals and water.

At Crafted Creations, we understand and appreciate the importance of our own safety, the safety of our customers and the overall environment. Therefore, we only use Bisphenol A free and Volatile Organic Compounds free resin. It contains no fumes, no solvents, is non-flammable, non-hazardous and is safe to use as a food contact surface ONCE FULLY CURED.

To understand why some orders, take so long to be fulfilled, one must first understand how resin works. The curing process of the resin used at Crafted Creations involves a chemical reaction that transforms the mixture of two liquid into an extremely hard, durable, glossy finish. The curing process can take anywhere between 48 to 96 hours depending on the nature of the item. (A 3-inch keychain will take less time to cure than a 15-inch tray).

How much heat resin can resist is dependent based on the brand of resin used. At Crafted Creations, our resin can withstand temperature up to approximately 150 degrees Fahrenheit/ 65 degrees Celsius. Beware, that resin softens with prolonged exposure to extreme heat therefore the item might start to become flexible. It will go back to its harden state once it cools back down but during that cooling process, it might get misshaped. Therefore, please keep those precautions in mind and adhere to your item's intended use.

Gypsum plaster is a white cementing material made by dehydration of the mineral gypsum. It is widely used to create a smooth surface over bricks, blocks and concrete; also making it a great medium for crafting.

At Crafted Creations, we pride ourselves in using an eco-friendly gypsum formula made from pure mineral extracts and mixed with only water which minimizes environmental impact. It ensures no chemical volatilization, making the final product not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable, heat resistant and food safe.

Gypsum products are not waterproof in their natural state. At Crafted Creations we do seal our products with a waterproof sealant if the product's intended use involves contact with liquids.
